Police arrested a transient man waving his arms in the street on drug, obstruction and other charges.

Police said 33-year-old Ryan O’Leary, a transient of Brunswick, was arrested at 10:21 p.m., Jan. 15 on Pleasant Street on charges of obstructing a public way, violating condition of release, and sale and use of drug paraphernalia after receiving reports of a man in the roadway waving his arms.

O’Leary — who police suspect was trying to get arrested —was taken to Cumberland County Jail.
