Maine State Police have announced that Interstate 295 in Yarmouth just reopened following a closure this morning for a jack-knifed tractor trailer.

Both southbound lanes are now reopen. Police reported shortly after 11 a.m. that the big rig skidded on I-295 just after exit 17 in Yarmouth and was blocking both southbound lanes.  The exit remained open and southbound traffic was being detoured at the exit up Route 1 in Yarmouth, causing significant tie-ups.
