FREEPORT — The Brunswick High School girls basketball Black team jumped out to a 22- 6 first quarter lead propelled by an aggressive full-court defense on its way to a 45-16 victory over Freeport on Tuesday.
Gillian Doehring led the Dragon offense with 12 points, while Emily Black added eight points and seven assists.
Leah Dewey and Suzy Anderson were defensive standouts for Brunswick, which had a 28-11 halftime lead before increasing the advantage to 37- 14 after three quarters of play.
