The School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors will get a primer on charter schools when they meet at William-Cone Elementary
School tonight.
The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
Superintendent Brad Smith is scheduled to give the school board an overview of Maine’s charter school law.
The board also will consider changing the Orion Performing Arts Center Manager position from a fulltime salaried position to a part-time hourly Orion Coordinator position.
The board will also consider reactivating the Mt. Ararat Middle School Drama Club stipend.
The school board will consider approving a retirement incentive program for teacher and support staff, as was provided last year.
A first reading of policies is scheduled including those covering student discipline, student suspension, student expulsion, disciplinary removal of students with disabilities, and a Public’s Right to Know/Freedom of Access policy.
Committee reports will include a report on the recent facilities tour and the Facilities Committee will schedule a meeting to develop a list of capital projects for 2013-14.
