The first of the 7th Annual Candy Cane Train family rides to raise money for Tri- County Literacy will roll out of Bath Train Station Saturday, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m.

The train leaves the station at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16.

The train will travel to Wiscasset, turn around and return to Bath. The roundtrip lasts approximately 90 minutes.

There will be singers and storytellers aboard and Santa and his Elves will visit.

Tickets cost $17 for adults and children, payable by cash, check or credit card. All proceeds benefit Tri-County Literacy, a non-profit organization working in Mid-coast Maine to improve lives through literacy.

Sponsors this year are Davenport Trust Fund and Bath Savings Institution.
