BATH
For the fourth time since Oct. 10, Bath police have arrested a local girl on a charge of illegal consumption of liquor by a juvenile.
This time, Lt. Stan Cielinski said, the 17-year-old was so intoxicated police had to take her to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. The girl’s mother, who lives in Harpswell, met police Thursday night at the hospital, where they served her with the girl’s summons, Cielinski said.
The girl’s father lives in Bath, Cielinski said.
Cielinski said that police responded to a report of juveniles drinking near Bath Middle School. The found the 17-year-old with a female companion who had not been drinking, he said.
Police have made a total of 51 contacts with the girl who was charged, Cielinski said.
“This is one of those kids who has no accountability,” he said. “No one supervises her.”
