Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates is working with Mid Coast Hunger Prevention to collect pet food for dogs and cats of local families in need this holiday season.
The goal is to collect at least 500 pounds of unopened dog and cat food for Mid Coast Hunger Prevention to distribute.
Several pet food companies are assisting, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition will donate one pound of food for every five pounds collected at Bath- Brunswick Veterinary Associates, across from Lowe’s at 257 Bath Road, Brunswick.
Donations can be dropped off 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
Mid Coast Hunger Prevention is located in Brunswick and provides food assistance to households in Brunswick, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Durham, Harpswell, Lisbon, Lisbon Falls and Topsham.
