PORTLAND (AP) — Police say an SUV crossed the center lane of traffic and hit a Jeep head-on, sending 10 people to the hospital with significant injuries.
The Portland Police Department says the crash happened late Sunday morning. Police say 44-year-old Sebastian Bukuru, of Westbrook, was driving a Ford Explorer when he crossed the center lane and crashed into a Jeep Grand Cherokee headed the opposite direction.
Six people were riding in the Explorer, and all were hurt. Two are in critical condition. Four people were riding in the Jeep, and all are in serious condition.
The police department says the crash remains under investigation.
