BOWDOIN
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department responded Wednesday to a possible burglary involving forced entry, but found nothing missing.
A homeowner on Blanchard Cross Road found the broken door jamb on an outside door around 7 a.m. Wednesday while taking out the trash, police said.
Lt. Calvin Temple said the responding deputy found there had been forced entry into a vacant in-law apartment attached to the residence.
The door appeared kicked in but nothing was taken, he said.
A second exterior door appeared to have been kicked in as well.
There are no suspects. The homeowner believes the offense happened sometime Tuesday.

It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
