
Representatives from technical institutes, community colleges and two Maine employers will attend Region Ten Technical High School’s open house, 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Church Road school.
Snacks prepared by the Food Trades and General Trades students, demonstrations and activities in the classrooms, and many raffle items will be offered.
Firefighting students will teach safe use of fire extinguishers; visitors can win prizes in the early-childhood classroom playing “Are You Smarter Than a Pre-Schooler?”
Auto Tech instructor Dave Giroux will demonstrate an air bag exploding.
Presenters from WYO Tech, New England Institute of Technology, Lincoln Culinary Institute, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, L.L. Bean Manufacturing and Southern Maine, Central Maine, Northern Maine and Eastern Maine community colleges will also attend.
Because of roadwork, visitors should use McKeen Street or take Greenwood Avenue from Route 1.
