Ecomaine, a nonprofit, municipally-owned recycling and waste disposal organization, has opened nominations for its eco-Excellence Awards.
The awards are given annually in recognition of “green” activities done by local individuals, organizations and businesses in each of the group’s 46 affiliated municipalities, which include Freeport and Pownal.
