JEFFERSON — Naturalist Jason Chandler will lead a nature walk to find wild edible plants at Hidden Valley Nature Center from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.
Possible finds include pine, acorns, cattails, Solomon’s seal, wild carrot and others.
From 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 16, several Maine master naturalist graduates will explore the trails the center looking for lichens, which occur in some of the most extreme environments on earth but are also abundant on leaves and branches in rain forests.
Suggested donation for the events is $5.
