BRUNSWICK
Officials will hold a local forum to discuss benefits available to veterans.
The forum will include Scott Karczewski, director of the Togus federal veterans health center; and Charles “Chuck” Pervier, case supervisior at Togus.
People Plus board member Jack Hudson, a former veterans’ service center manager, will introduce the pair.
“This is a wonderful time to open a dialogue between Togus officials and veterans living in the Brunswick area,” People Plus member services manager Frank Connors said.
The event is 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7 at People Plus, 35 Union St. Organizers ask participants to register in advance: Call 729-0757 or email rebecca@peopleplusmaine.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
