Farmers are now eligible for disaster assistance through the Farm Services Agency if they have losses caused by disasters earlier this year, U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud said.

Farmers have eight months to apply for emergency loan assistance for damage that occurred from May 29 through June 8 in Androscoggin and Oxford counties. Benefits are also available for farmers in Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Sagadahoc and York counties.
