WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Marcus Wasilewski threw three touchdown passes to help Maine beat William & Mary 24-10 on Saturday.
Maine (3-5, 2-3 Colonial Athletic Association) scored on its opening drive when Wasilewski found Maurice McDonald for a 7-yard touchdown and the 7-0 lead. Wasilewski finished 19 of 24 for 191 yards.
After Sean Decloux’s 31- yard field goal made it 10-0, Wasilewski struck again, this time finding Damarr Aultman for a 12-yard touchdown and a 17-0 advantage.
Willliam & Mary (2-6, 1-4) got on the scoreboard with 8:20 left in the first half when Raphael Ortiz connected with Sean Ballard for a 26-yard touchdown. Maine led at halftime 17-7.
John Carpenter’s 32-yard field goal to begin the fourth quarter cut the Tribe’s deficit to 17-10, but Wasilewski answered.
Wasilewski found Aultman for a 3-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 24-10, and the Tribe was unable to get any closer.
