BOWDOINHAM
A group of Bowdoinham community members has organized a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for residents who otherwise would be alone on Thanksgiving Day.
All they ask is that they call in advance to reserve their seat at the table.
Bowdoinham residents of all ages are welcome, and will be served dinner at noon at the Bowdoinham fire station on Post Road. Transportation is available for diners with no means of transportation.
Organizers request that those attending the dinner call first to reserve a spot by Friday, Nov. 16, to ensure volunteers have enough food for everyone. Walk-ins will not be turned away.
To reserve your seat, help with or donate to the meal, call Ann Davis at 751-4238.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
