BATH — The 14th annual Bath Citizen Involvement Day is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Waterfront Park.
The day is a community building event that brings awareness about service organizations to the public and honors individuals and groups that work to benefit the city and its residents. Nearly 40 local nonprofit organizations and groups will be set up in Waterfront Park to promote their programs.
Bath Citizen Involvement Day awards ceremony, which recognizes exceptional people and projects in Bath, will begin at noon. The awards ceremony will be preceded by a re-dedication of Waterfront Park, which was recently renovated with new pathways, landscaping and historical markers.
The event is part of Autumnfest, which includes the Parks and Recreation Department’s Great Scarecrow Event and Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine Craft Show, featuring several children’s events, merchant specials, live mannequins and fashion, fire engine rides and more at venues all over Waterfront Park and downtown.
Music in Waterfront Park will be provided from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 443-8330.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
