WALES — The Brunswick Junior High School soccer teams took on Oak Hill on Thursday.
The seventh-grade boys doubled-up the hosts 4-2, while the eighth-grader Huskies rolled to a 10-0 victory.
In the opener, the BJS seventh squad trailed early on a pair of Travis Nadeau tallies.
Brunswick battled back, getting two goals from Michael Deveaux and one each from Henry Doherty and Lucas Piatt. Alex Small, Max Grammins, Kyle Hanson, Trevor Milbourn, Piatt and Deveaux picked up one assist each, with strong defense coming from Griffin Vanniel and Nathan Harrower.
The nightcap was all Brunswick. Chris Glover’s long-distance shot got things rolling for the Huskies, while Tobyn Blatt and Lincoln Sullivan added two goals apiece. Carlisle Boyle, Chris Rodderick, Josh Dorr, Sawyer Nicholson (PK) and Grammins chipped in a score each.
The goaltending duties were split by Dorr and Jared Hummer.
