FREEPORT — Judith and Steve Brown, founders of Brown Goldsmiths, 11 Mechanic St., will celebrate the start of their 45th year of heirloom quality jewelry designs by hosting a two-day event showcasing a collection of rare natural-fancy color diamonds.
The company, founded in 1967, has a complete goldsmithing studio on premise where artists handcraft precious metals, such as gold and platinum, into works of wearable art, a news release stated.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tonight and Saturday, the public will have the opportunity to see what organizers term “true miracles of nature” — diamonds in rainbow hues.
