Wiscasset Adult and Community Education has released its second schedule of events planned for this fall.

These include a Coastal Maine Nature Tour on Oct. 6, a Fall Foliage Getaway on Oct. 20 and a Midcoast History Murder Mystery on Oct. 27. Participants are encouraged to register early as seats are filling quickly.

The Coastal Maine Nature Tour will include visits to Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve, Whaleback Shell Midden, the Georges River and a hike to the top of Maiden Cliff in Camden. The day will end on a sunset cruise with Captain Bob Pratt aboard a 55-foot ketch.

Proceeds from this trip will benefit the Nature Conservancy of Maine.

Departure will be from Wiscasset High School at 10:30 a.m. and return is at 7:30 p.m. The fee is $175 per person.

The Fall Foliage Getaway Oct. 20 is an overnight excursion that includes a scenic ride on the Maine Eastern Railroad, a guided tour of Rockland, self-exploration of the city and an overnight at a local bed-and-breakfast.

Departure is from the Wiscasset Train Station at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 20; return is Oct. 21, at 11:10 a.m. The fee is $195 per person based on double occupancy.

The Midcoast History Murder Mystery Tour Oct. 27 will delight those who love a good ghost story. This tour will include comfortable luxury coach transportation to visit historic houses and haunted havens in the Wiscasset area, as well as a participatory murder mystery.

Partakers in this jaunt are invited to come in character and play a part as they solve the mystery. A reception and dinner will be the best opportunity to interrogate the suspects. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.

Departure is from Wiscasset High at noon; return will be by 6 p.m. The fee for this whodunit is $115 per person.
