AUBURN — Maslah Hassan scored the game’s only goal as the Edward Little High School boys soccer team handed Brunswick its first loss of the season with a 1-0 victory in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.
Hassan shook off two Dragon defenders before depositing a shot behind netminder Greg Walton with just over four minutes to play.
The goal came minutes after Brunswick (2-1-1 and slated to host 4-0 Lewiston on Thursday) forward Konnor Scarponi just missed a goal when his breakaway attempt sailed inches above the cage.
Walton finished with three saves, while EL (2-1) netminder Llewellyn Jensen had five stops.
The Eddies finished with a 10-8 shot advantage, with Brunswick holding a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
