WOOLWICH — Floreston “Jr” S. Pierce, Jr., 78, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, Aug 8, 2012. He was born on July 11, 1934, the son of Floreston S. Pierce and Wilma (Kimball) Pierce. He was a long time employee of Maritime Apartments, he retired in 2007.

Jr. was a outdoors kind of man, he loved fishing, hunting and baseball. He will be sadly missed by all those that loved him.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Myron Pierce, as well as his first wife, Venice (Smith) Pierce.

He is survived by his loving Fiance, Nannie Mahoney and her two daughters, Cindi Lyons and Christine Falvo, his sons, Samuel Pierce, William Pierce and his wife Betsy, his two daughters, Sandra Ellefson and Thelma Cusick and her husband Tim, his step daughters, Alicia Johnson, Tina Kennedy and stepson, Gerald Kennedy.

He is also survived by his brother, “Bud” Pierce, sisters, Geraldine DeShon, Maxine Roak, Nina Hayes and Alice Keddy, along with 11 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday,

Aug 15th, 2012, from 10:00 –12:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m .at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath. Burial will than take place at Morningside Cemetery in Phippsburg.

There will be a gathering after that will be held at the Community Center at Maritime Apartments Complex.
