BRUNSWICK — The Theater Project’s 40th anniversary season concludes this summer with a week-long invitation for all alumni to return to the theater.

Alumni Week will take place Aug. 6 to 12, with performances, concerts, book signings, and even a chance for alumni to get back on stage to rehearse and perform an improvisational show. All events are free, and the theater will be open all week for people to stop in and visit.

On Aug. 7 at 7 p.m., Morgan Callan Rogers will read from her book, “Ruby Red Heart in a Cold Blue Sea.”

Alumni musicians will take the stage, with Cameron Toy performing on Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m., and Ian Paige on Aug. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. David Covell, designer of The Theater Project’s current and previous logo, will read from his children’s book, “Rat and Roach, Friends to the End,” on Aug. 11 at 11 a.m.

Alumni are invited to a party, including old theater games and rehearsal of an improvisational show, following the Paige show on Aug. 10. The alumni show will be performed on Aug. 11 at 8 p.m.

Forty years of Theater Project alumni means more than 8,000 folks to find and invite, so organizers are encouraging community members to get in touch with friends and family to let them know about this first-ever alumni event.
