BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department will host a Baseball Skills Clinic July 30 to Aug. 9.
This two-week clinic, which will be held at Edwards Field from Monday to Thursday each week, will focus on skill development. Players will learn each position and have fun. Each day concludes with a baseball game. On Aug. 9, the program closes with night games at Lishness Field, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
There are two groups — ages 6-8 and 9-12.
The instructor for this program is John Frey, captain of the University of Maine baseball club team.
Players must provide their own glove.
The cost is $40 for residents, $52 for non residents.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
