BANGOR (AP) — Director Ron Howard shopped, dined and got lucky in the casino as he visited Bangor during the weekend.
The Bangor Daily News says Howard also enjoyed music at the West Market Festival on Saturday afternoon. The director of the Oscarwinning films “Apollo 13” and “A Beautiful Mind” spent a leisurely weekend checking out the city.
The Fiddlehead Restaurant staff says Howard ate dinner there on Friday night, and on Saturday, he tweeted a photo of his breakfast at Dysart’s in Hermon. Howard remarked on the friendliness of the people in Bangor that day.
He also was spotted shopping at the Rock and Art Shop, tweeted about visiting Hollywood Casino, where he said he won $45, and visited the city’s big Paul Bunyan statue.
