BRUNSWICK — People Plus will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a party Thursday at Brunswick Landing, the former Brunswick Naval Air Station.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, salads, watermelon and a birthday cake, will be served in the shade of an old Navy P-3 Orion.
The Kevin Gilmore band will play “old favorites” and “original country rock” during the celebration, which is open to People Plus members and the public.
The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority and Brunswick’s Davis Foundation are co-sponsors of this event.
Tickets for lunch cost $5. Lunch and a commemorative T-shirt costs $10.
If it rains, the event will move to the People Plus building at 35 Union St.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
