I was so excited when I found out I was going to the Galapagos Islands. I read books about it, practiced quite a bit of Spanish, and saw videos and pictures.

What fascinated me the most was the wildlife. So much wildlife that it seemed as if every inch was filled with it!

When we got there it was extremely hot and humid- it is after all on the equator. One of my favorite things I did in Ecuador was snorkeling. I had done it before but never with such good scenery under that cool ocean blue water. I saw many interesting things such as sharks (Galapagos and hammerhead), sea turtles, brilliant colored fish, sea lion pups and all the coral reefs. My trip to the Galapagos was terrific! I think that I was very fortunate and I think it was a great learning experience.
