RAYMOND (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a 29-year-old Gorham man from Sebago Lake.
The Maine Warden Service and the Cumberland County Sheriff ’s Department pulled the body of Durward Worster from the lake in Raymond at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say Worster and some friends were diving from the cliffs of Frye’s Leap at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. His friends saw Worster jump in, but they did not see him resurface. His friends immediately began looking for him and called 911. The Cumberland County sheriff ’s dive team recovered his body.
Police say Frye’s Leap is private property and a “No Trespassing” sign was posted at the site.
The death remains under investigation.
