BANGOR (AP) — Gov. Paul LePage has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff for Saturday’s funeral for an Army helicopter pilot killed in a crash in Afghanistan.
The body of Capt. John Brainard III of Newport arrived in Maine on Thursday.
A wake is scheduled for this evening and funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Dexter, followed by burial in Plymouth.
