PROSPECT (AP) — A Bucksport first grader has been airlifted to the hospital after falling 20 feet at Maine’s Fort Knox Historic Site in Prospect while on a school field trip.
Bucksport school officials tell the Bangor Daily News that the 7-year-old was conscious after he fell and suffered fractures to both arms and trauma to his knee and face.
The boy was on a school field trip with his class from G.H. Jewett School.
Fort Knox is Maine’s largest historic fort.
