BRUNSWICK — To mark Flag Day, the American Legion and Boy Scouts based in Brunswick will conduct a flag retirement ceremony between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday at the Joshua Chamberlain statue on upper Maine Street. The public is welcome to attend.
Old and worn American flags may be placed in collection boxes at the Hannaford and Walmart stores in Brunswick or brought to Thursday’s ceremony for proper retirement.
