To the editor:
I was disheartened and disappointed to read recently in a local newspaper about damage being done to the musical organ at the United Church of Christ in Bath.
The church hosts the Bath Area Food Bank; runs the Neighborhood Café on Tuesday nights, which is a free nutritional dinner to all members of the Bath community; allows many organizations to host meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous; and, during the winter, the Bath Area Farmers Market on Saturdays.
The building also serves its church members with their religious needs.
These are the few activities I know about I am sure there are countless others I am not aware of.
The UCC has a strong commitment to its community. I sincerely hope that the person responsible for this crime is located swiftly and brought to justice.
Perhaps that person should be given community service hours at the UCC. That would be justice to me.
