FREEPORT — In Freeport High School’s regular-season softball finale on Saturday, the host Falcons earned a 9-7 comeback Western Maine Conference win over Sacopee Valley.
Freeport allowed seven runs in the top of the sixth as Sacopee wiped out a 4-0 deficit. The Falcons came back with five runs of their own in the home half of the sixth to close out the season at 6-10.
Heather Balfour had a clutch, bases-loaded, two-out single in the fifth to put Freeport up 4-0.
In the bottom of sixth, Jess Perry had a lead-off single, and Andrea Grant and KC Breed each followed with RBI singles.
On a day to honor the Freeport seniors, Dani Perry, Leigh Wyman and Breed paced an 11-hit attack.
Wyman picked up the mound win with seven strikeouts and three walks.
MT. ARARAT 10
OXFORD HILLS 4
In South Paris on Friday, Shauna Williams homered, tripled and singled as Mt. Ararat picked up a key 10-4 KVAC win over Oxford Hills.
The victory catapulted the Eagles into ninth place in the Eastern Maine Class A Heal Point Standings (the final playoff spot), with Mt. Ararat slated to visit Lawrence today.
Mt. Ararat (6-9) belted out 18 hits off Vikings pitcher Crystal West, who struck out four. A six-run third frame turned a 2-0 deficit into a 6-2 lead, and the Eagles added three more runs in the sixth to put the game away.
Williams drove in four runs, with her three-run triple in the third the key hit. Dana Green also drove in four runs with two singles and a double, while Mallory Nelson belted out three hits.
On the mound, Kim Leslie earned the win, allowing six hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
“These girls are playing very well, and it just seemed to take a little bit longer to get it going,” said Mt. Ararat coach Rick Bartlett.
Haleigh Robinson had two hits for Oxford Hills.
MADISON 13
LISBON 6
The visiting Bulldogs (13-2) took advantage of eight Lisbon errors while picking up a Mountain Valley Conference victory at Lisbon Falls on Friday.
Down 2-0 after the first inning, Madison scored three runs in the third and fourth innings before adding two runs in the fifth and five more in the seventh.
Kimber Morse pitched for 8-5 Lisbon, allowing nine hits, walking two and striking out five. Arianna Kahler was 2- for-4 for the Greyhounds, while Brooke Lawrence doubled twice, singled and drove in three runs. Alexa Harmon drove in a pair of runs with a single, and Haley Eck was 2- for-4, including a double.
Emily Woodruff pitched for Madison. She allowed 12 hits, walked five and struck out six. Catcher Kayla Belanger helped her pitcher out, driving in three runs with a triple and adding a single.
Lisbon is slated to visit Hall-Dale in its regular-season finale on Wednesday.

OAK HILL 5
Kortni Michaud fired a twohit shutout as the host Raiders picked up a KVAC Class B win at Wales on Friday.
Oak Hill (9-7) scored three runs in the first to take control.
Megan Hixon and Jacelyn McNeill shared the pitching for Morse (3-12), combining on two strikeouts, two walks and eight hits.
Michaud struck out four and walked two. Brooke Lebel had two hits, including a triple, while Alexis Priest doubled and singled. Alyssa Rouleau also tripled.
“We left the bases loaded in the third inning, and just could not score,” said Morse coach Will Laffely, whose team concludes the regular season today at Maranacook.

In the first game of a Friday East-West Conference doubleheader at Jay, the Bobcats put together 15 hits and rolled to a six-inning Mercy Rule victory.
Leandra Martin struck out 10, walked one and permitted four hits for the shutout win.
Brianna Snedeker singled three times to pace the Richmond offense. Ciarra Lancaster (single, double, two RBIs), Danice Hurley (two singles), Alyssa Pearson (two singles), Payton Johnson (two singles, two RBIs) and Jamie Plummer (two singles, two RBIs) were repeat hitters.
Chantell Carrier took the loss for Rangeley. She walked five and struck out two.

The Lakers handed the Bobcats their first loss (13-1) in the nightcap, as Sandie Campbell and Seve Deery- DeRaps each drove in three runs.
“I will be stressing this week that we can be beat and will not shut everybody out,” said Richmond coach Rick Coughlin, whose Bobcats are slated to host Sacopee Valley on Wednesday. “We had our chances, but we didn’t get the big hit when we needed it.”
Carrier earned the mound win on six hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Campbell, Deery-DeRaps and Tori Letante each had two hits for the Lakers (10-4), who pounded out 10 hits against Martin (three walks, three strikeouts).
Lindsy Hoopingarner hit two home runs for Richmond. Hurley, Snedeker, Noell Acord and Plummer each singled.
