THE WISCASSET BAY GALLERY will host a reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to celebrate the start of the gallery’s 28th season and the opening of “The Painterly Landscape: Contemporary New England Art.” The reception, which is free and open to the public, will feature light refreshments. The exhibition showcases oils, pastels and watercolors by the gallery’s regionally and nationally recognized contemporary artists. Highlighting this exhibition is “Building Clouds, Monhegan,” an impressionistic oil painting by Keith Oehmig. “The Painterly Landscape: Contemporary New England Art” will be on display through July 3.
