BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School Music Department will present spring concerts on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Brunswick High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, under the direction of Michael Scarpone, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Crooker Theater at the school. The program will feature works by Percy Grainger, Ralph Vaughn Williams, Karl King and Eric Whitacre. As a special feature to the annual concert, BHS alumni, teachers, parents and private music instructors have been invited to join the Wind Ensemble for the performance of “In Flight” by Samuel Hazo.
The school’s choral ensembles — the Treble Choir, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir — will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, also in the Crooker Theater, under the direction of Ashley Smith.
Both concerts are free and open to the public.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
