BRUNSWICK — Arts Are Elementary invites Maine artists to submit original artwork to Brunswick’s fifth annual 10 X 10 Benefit Art Exhibit and Sale.
All accepted work is priced at $200. The artist receives $100, and $100 benefits Arts Are Elementary, a local nonprofit that provides artists in residence to all Brunswick students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The 10 X 10 Benefit Art Exhibit and Sale is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 28 at Curtis Memorial Library and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
The following rules apply:
— Artist must be at least 18 years old.
— Artist must be a full- or part-time resident of Maine.
— Artist may submit one to three pieces.
— Work must fit within a 10-inch square format and be ready to put into a 10-inch-by-10- inch black metal frame.
The exhibit’s organizers provide the black metal frame, foam core and optional glass. No matting is provided.
Applications are available at www.10x10brunswick.org. Application deadline is June 1.
A $10 fee per artist must be included with application. Payment can be made by check and mailed to AAE, 10 X 10, P.O. Box 882, Brunswick, ME 04011 or online at www.10x10brunswick.org.
