FREEPORT— The second annual Memorial Day Main Street Mile is scheduled to be held May 28, with a family walk/jog at 8 a.m. and the run/race at 8:30 a.m.
The race start is at Freeport Middle School, ending on Maine Street near L.L. Bean. Race-day registration will be held at the Nike factory store from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
The preregistration fees are $10 for individuals and $8 for a family of four or more.
Race-day fees are $15 and $10. A Nike T-shirt will go to the first 200 registrants,
Prizes will go to all entries 12 years and younger, and first-place runners in following age groups — 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-and-over.
Proceeds benefit the Freeport Running Boosters.
