BOWDOINHAM — Saturday morning launches the fifth season of the Bowdoinham Farmers Market at the Merrymeeting Grange on Main Street.

Market hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday at the grange hall, 27 Main St. Returning vendors include Fairwinds Farm, Apple Creek Farm, Adams Family Farm and Paula C’s Bakery. New vendors are Crescent Run Farm and Whatley Farm.

“Fairwinds Farm will offer hanging baskets, annuals and vegetable and flower seedlings to start off your spring plantings,” an announcement about the market states. “As the season progresses, Fairwinds will have an extensive selection of vegetables, with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Apple Creek Farm offers pastured lamb, free range eggs and wool fiber products, then pastured beef later in the summer. Adams Family Farm … will have vegetable and flower seedlings, container herbs and some greens.

Crescent Run Farm will start the season with pea shoots, greens and radishes. It will add pork, honey, poultry and other produce later in the season. Whatley Farm will sell spring greens like red Russian kale, spinach, ready-to-eat salad mix, baby beets, baby carrots, radishes, salad turnips, chives and scallions.

The vendors’ products will evolve throughout the season to include: Organic vegetables, vegetables, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, dried beans, pastured beef, pastured lamb, free range eggs, wool fiber products, hanging baskets, annuals, flower seedlings, herbs, baked goods, vinegar, jams, salsas, cornmeal and craft items.
