FREEPORT — Leigh Wyman tossed a perfect game with 11 strikeouts, and received plenty of run support in a 25-0 Western Maine Conference softball victory over Traip on Wednesday.
The Falcons, 3-4 and slated to host Poland today at 4 p.m., scored 15 runs in the third inning and 10 more in the fourth in the five inning, Mercy-Rule victory.
Andrea Grant doubled, while KC Breed, Jessica Perry, Hannah Chase and Lexi Dietrich had multiple hits.
Sid Morin doubled and singled three times as the Wiscasset High School softball team beat the raindrops in a 12-3 Mountain Valley Conference victory on Wednesday.
Kayla Gordon chipped in a double for the 3-4 Wolverines, who visit Mountain Valley today (4:30 p.m.), while Megan Corson and Morin combined on the mound with seven strikeouts and six walks.
Two Boothbay (0-6) pitchers permitted 12 walks and seven hits.
