LISBON FALLS — Brandon Hovey raced home on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Lisbon High School baseball team walked-off with a 6-5 Mountain Valley Conference win over previously unbeated St. Dom’s on Saturday.
Dalton Dunphy had four RBIs for the 1-2 Greyhounds, including a tying basesloaded walk in the seventh. Dunphy also singled in two runs in the third inning and gave Lisbon a 4-2 edge in the fifth with an RBI single.
St. Dom’s (3-1) battled back, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh for a 5-4 lead.
In the Lisbon seventh, four consecutive walks tied the game.
Kyle Bourget singled in a run for Lisbon, which is slated to host Wiscasset today at 4:30 p.m. On the mound, Jo Osmond went the distance with seven strikeouts, two walks and nine hits allowed.
“My young team really came out with a strong attitude and stayed focused for seven innings against one of the top teams in the MVC,” said Lisbon coach Randy Ridley.
Zach Johnson and Drew Gosselin each singled twice for the Saints, while Joe Bryant pitched 6.1 innings and took the loss.

Ben Keene sliced a single over the first-base bag to give the Phoenix a 12-inning walkoff win over the Greyhounds on Friday at Livermore Falls.
Keene singled twice, matching teammate Jake Bessey. Eric Capen pitched 8.2 innings for Spruce Mountain (3-0).
Lisbon starter Mason Smith pitched nine innings with 13 strikeouts, three walks and five hits. Hovey relieved, going 2.2 innings on three hits, three strikeouts and one walk.
At the plate, Aaron Boyington doubled, singled and drove in a run for Lisbon, while Smith, Bourget, Osmond, Hovey and Tucker Brannon each singled. Brannon’s two-out RBI single in the seventh inning sent the game to extra frames.

The visiting Lakers used two hits, five walks, a hit batsman and four errors to score 12 fourth-inning runs in an East-West Conference contest on Saturday at Richmond.
“We were in no-man’s land, with walks and errors hurting us,” said Richmond coach Ryan Gardner, whose team is 0-3 and visits Class C Sacopee Valley on Tuesday (4 p.m.).
Eric White, who singled, doubled and drove in a run, went the distance on the mound for 1-1 Rangeley, striking out five, walking two and permitting two hits, a single each by Richmond’s Tyler Harrington and Gage Myrick.
Brian Snedeker and Kade Strout combined on 10 strikeouts and nine walks for the Bobcats.
BUCKFIELD 11

Cody White fired a complete game two-hitter, and the visiting Bucks took advantage of nine Richmond errors en route to an East-West Conference victory on Thursday in the Bobcats’ home opener.
White struck out six. He allowed an RBI double to Snedeker and a single to Peter Lorbeski.
Austin Dooley paced Buckfield (1-0) with three singles.
For Richmond, Harrington and Strout handled the mound duties, combining on 11 hits, three strikeouts and two walks. Only two of Buckfield’s runs were earned.
MT. ARARAT 4

The host Blue Devils scored 10 runs in the second inning and 12 more in the third en route to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at Lewiston on Friday.
The game was shifted due to unplayable field conditions in Topsham, and 4-0 Lewiston took advantage of its home field by belting out 17 hits and taking advantage of 14 walks by Eagle pitchers.
“We didn’t talk about this game, but in my pre-game speech today (home against Erskine Academy at 4 p.m.) I will remind the team that we have won seven of nine games (counting preseason), and that Friday’s game was just one loss and no more than that,” said Mt. Ararat (2- 2) coach Bob Neron.
Shawn Ricker doubled twice and singled, while Corbin Hyde hit a grand-slam home run, doubled and singled to lead the Lewiston offense. Alex Small singled and doubled, David Cusson picked up three singles and Nate Berube singled twice. On the mound, Luke Cote went the distance on five hits, nine strikeouts and three walks.
For Mt. Ararat, Torrey Charnock had two singles, Trent Charnock a double, Brendan Glass a solo home run and Jordan Daigle a single. Four pitchers combined on five strikeouts.

CAPE ELIZ. 3
The visiting Falcons scored five runs in the third inning en route to a Western Maine Conference victory at Cape Elizabeth on Saturday.
Undefeated Freeport, 3-0 and slated to visit York today, was paced at the plate by Dan Burke, who ripped a pair of two-run doubles to finish with four RBIs. Josh Weirich added a two-run single and Connor Dietrich singled three times and scored two runs.
On the mound, Sawyer Williams earned the win, going the distance on five hits, two walks and six strikeouts.
Charlie Laprade and Tim Brigham pitched for Cape Elizabeth (2-2), combining to allow 12 hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
Chris Robicheau had a tworun single to give the Capers a 2-0 lead after an inning, and Max Gore drove in the other Cape Elizabeth run with a seventh-inning single.
