RICHMOND — In celebration of “Grange Month,” Enterprise Grange 48 invites community members to an open house Sunday to learn more about its purpose, programs and activities.

The open house and an awards ceremony will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the community room of Enterprise Grange, 15 Alexander Reed Road.

During the event, the Grange will acknowledge the good works of Geoff and Ruth Ragsdale of Richmond and Eleanor Everson of Dresden by presenting them with Grange Community Citizen Awards.

“All members of the community are invited and urged to share stories and accolades about these wonderful people who have contributed so much to our communities. The event is free and light refreshments will be served,” a release about the event states.

“For over 140 years, the Grange has worked to advance the interest of rural Americans by providing a legislative voice for their political concerns and by showing them how to strengthen their neighborhoods through community service,” Enterprise Master (President) C.J. Roy said in the release. “During Grange Month, we want our community to know that the Grange is a living organization that has a lot to offer it.”
