TOPSHAM — A vehicle hydroplaned Monday morning on Route 201 and hit a utility pole, according to Topsham police.
The crash was reported at 8:46 a.m. in the area between Barn Swallow Way and Longview Lane. Abigail Lockhart, 31, no address available, was driving the car and was the only occupant. She was taken privately to Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick to be checked out.
Topsham Police Lt. Christopher Lewis said the car was a total loss. No charges were filed.
Gail Rice, a spokeswoman for Central Maine Power, said late Monday morning that about 983 customers in Topsham, Bowdoin and a small portion of Bowdoinham lost power as a result of the crash.
