BRUNSWICK — The Studio 48 Performing Arts Center will stage a benefit country rock concert at 7 p.m. April 27 in Crooker Theater at Brunswick High School.
Private students as well as singers in Glee Club have been preparing popular song selections to perform with a live “rock band.” Song titles range from “Let it Be” by the Beatles to “Sparks Fly” by Taylor Swift.
The Junior Glee Club and Glee Club will perform a rendition of Adele’s “Rumor Has it / Someone like you.”
Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Proceeds from the concert will fund scholarships to the Studio 48 Performing Arts Center for summer workshops and other offerings.
Ida Messerman teaches the choreography. Playing in the band will be Mike Haskell of Bowdoin; Joe, Nick and Tammy Arsenault, all of Dresden; and Rebecca Beck of Brunswick. For more information, call Studio 48 at 798- 6966.
