TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys lacrosse team fell to Messalonskee 5-4 in seasonopening action on Friday.
Nick Dow scored two goals, one on an assist by Kyle Lussier, while Derek Fongemie added an unassisted goal and Jordan Castonguay scored off a Kenny Stimpson feed.
Greg Wallace (three saves) and Nick Alvarado ( five saves) manned the nets for Mt. Ararat, while Zach Curtis, Joel York, Mike Tran, Seth Martin and Chandler Field stood out.
