WATERVILLE — Carolyn Bennett drove in the winning run in the top of the eighth inning as the Colby College softball edged past Thomas College, 3-2, on Wednesday.
The Terriers dropped to 8- 17-1, while Colby improved to 7-13.
Down 3-2, Thomas managed to get a runner to second base with one out. Kate Thibodeau of Woolwich dropped a bunt to move the runner up 90 feet, but the Terriers failed to tie the game.
Thomas is slated to visit Green Mountain in a Saturday doubleheader beginning at noon.
