BRUNSWICK — As part of the Earth Day 2012 celebration, the Brunswick Recycling Committee is participating in a statewide backyard compost bin sale.
The bin is black, has a 10-year warranty and is made of 100 percent recycled plastic. It is approximately 35 inches high and 33 inches wide and is large enough for a family of five, according to a release from the committee.
Brunswick residents can order a home compost bin and “how to” compost guide until May 30 or when the supply runs out by calling the Public Works Department at 725-6654, to reserve one.
During the special, the bins and guides, with a combined retail value of $100, will be sold for $45.
Bins are expected to become available by the end of April. Those who have reserved bins will be called and given pickup instructions.
