BRUNSWICK — Steven Peterson, executive director of Maine State Music Theatre, will serve as master of ceremonies for the Brunswick Rotary Club’s “Hometown Idol” talent show on April 7 at Crooker Theater in Brunswick High School, 116 Maquoit Road.
Potential contestants can pick up application forms at Riley Insurance at 139 Maine St., Shaw’s Supermarket at Cook’s Corner or at any of the public schools in greater Brunswick. Saturday is the deadline to apply.
There are openings for instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers in either solo or group performances. Prizes, trophies and ribbons will be awarded in each age and talent category. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges and the audience.
Age categories are youth (6 to 12 years old), teen (13 to 18 years old) and adult (19 to 99 years old).

The show will start at 7 p.m. April 7. Tickets are $12 per person, $10 for children and seniors or $30 per family.
