Topsham police charged a Bath woman with operating under the influence after she allegedly caused a crash Friday night.
According to police, Tiffany D. Bruce, 30, of 5 Pinehill Drive, Bath, crossed the center line while driving a car on Route 196 near Bypass Drive. Her vehicle struck head-on a 2003 Ford sport utility vehicle drive by Brian R. Moody, 35, of 125 Katie Lane in Topsham. The crash was reported at 5:32 p.m.
No one was injured, including two passengers — a 10- year old girl and 35-year-old man — riding in the 2005 Mazda driven by Bruce.
The responding officer, Robert Ramsay, reported both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash. Bruce was arrested for the Class D charge of operating under the influence of alcohol.
