BRUNSWICK — The Mt. Ararat/Lisbon Middle School “A” hockey team played its first game in over two weeks Sunday night at Watson Arena with a tilt against Cape Elizabeth.
The Eagles shook off some rust and a 2- 1 first period deficit and cruised to an 8-2 victory.
Sam Alexander led Mt. Ararat with a hat trick and Andrew Gardiner scored twice, while Eagle defenders Taylor Leech and Ryley Austin chipped in two assists apiece. Also getting goals were Tyler Halls, Zach Dyer and Mikaila Cloutier. Cam Grant and Mark Abreu added an assist each to the winning effort.
Mt. Ararat goaltender Kyle Welsh was solid in the victory, making 18 saves.
