TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee girls basketball team lost to Cony 31-28 and beat Lewiston 41-30 in recent action.
Against Cony, the 10- 8 Eagles trailed 5-4, 19-7 and 28- 17 at the quarters breaks.
Kim Emerson scored seven points in the loss, while Kristen Pierce and Rebecca Schuman played well.
At the foul line, Mt. Ararat was seven of 10 and Cony two of six.
In the win against Lewiston, the Eagles were tied at 11- 11 after one quarter, but led 24- 16 at the half and 29- 21 entering the fourth quarter.
Olivia Swan popped in 19 points, Libby Davis 10 and Pierce seven. Mt. Ararat was seven of 18 at the line and Lewiston four of 10.
